The Express Highway Research Foundation of Japan (EHRF) (Kosoku Doro Chosakai) was established in 1957. It is a research organization initiated by the Japan Highway Public Corporation (privatized and split into three expressway companies on 2005: NEXCO East, Central and West), the Japan Society of Transportation Economics, the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association Inc., the Petroleum Association of Japan, and the Civil Engineering Contractors Association Inc.
The EHRF has been an Institutional Member of REAAA since 1978.
The EHRF is represented by Mr Michio Katayama, President, Japan Expressway International Co. Ltd.
