The 12th HORA (Head of Road Authorities) meeting was held at 23rd March 2017 with theme of Inter Urban Roads and It’s Financing to Support Regional Development. Some summary:
- Infrastructure needs to be integrated for social and economic development. Infrastructure planning with proper financing will be able to support regional development and increase economic growth.
- Integrated Planning and Infrastructure Program Synchronization are required to integrate regional development with market driven, to consider the environmental carrying capacity, to focus on infrastructure development towards strategic regions, to support growth acceleration of areas in Strategic Development Regions, and to reduce disparities between regions in the Strategic Development Regions.
