The REAAA Governing Council held its 102nd on 4 November 2015 in Seoul, Korea.
The meeting hosted by the REAAA Korean Chapter, Korea Expressway Corporation and Ministry of Land, Infrastructure & Transportation, Korea. The meeting was successful, with 23 Council members out of the 35 Council members attending. A total of 43 delegates from nine countries (Australia, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Philippines, Taiwan and USA) attended the meeting, with Indonesia forming the largest delegation of 19 delegates. The president of IRF, Mr. C. Patrick Sankey also attended the meeting.
The meeting was called to order by the President, DR. A. Hermanto Dardak. Reports tabled by the Finance Committee, Technical Committee, Membership Promotions Committee, and the Honorary Secretary-General’s report were all approved at the meeting. Several important decisions were also made and key proposals adopted, including preparation for the 103rd REAAA Council meeting in Dubai, UAE, plan of the 15th REAAA Conference in Bali included the plan to set-up Committee members of Katahira Award and input into forthcoming events in REAAA member countries.
The Finance Committee made a sincere request to local Chapters and council members to help in the collection and remittance of overdue membership subscriptions. The Finance Committee would also like to record its appreciation to members for their assistance in the collection of membership dues.
